Getting to Möja

You can only get to Möja by boat!
From downtown Stockholm, it’s a beautiful journey of 3.5 hours through the middle of the Stockholm archipelago. From Sollenkroka in Värmdö it takes about 1.5 hours by ferry and about 30 min. by water taxi.

Waxholmsbolaget is the largest company serving the islands with a range of boats and tours year-round and timetables suited to spring, summer, autumn and winter.
Mainland buses connect to ferry landings, such as Sollenkroka in Värmdö. Check your travel app or contact Waxholmsbolaget for times.

In summer and on ice-free weekends many ferries and water taxis serve Möja. Some require reservations but most you can just hop aboard!


The STRÖMMA line ferries serve Möja in spring, summer and autumn.


MÖJA BÅTTAXI is the local water taxi with regular service to Sollenkroka on Värmdö on ice-free weekends year-round and more frequently in spring, summer and autumn. Seats must be booked in advance!


ERPEMO is another local water taxi. Rides must be booked in advance with Captain Erik Pettersson:

STAVSNÄS BÅTTAXI out of Stavsnäs on Värmdö has a diverse fleet of boats that can be booked for larger groups.
